Martika Ibarra is a well known Mexican Model, Stylist and Make Up Artist. She was born in the city of Mexicali, Baja California.
When Martika was nine months old, she and her family moved to the United States, settling in Ventura county, California
Martika decided to pursue a modeling career as a teenager. She was discovered by a modeling agent at the age of sixteen, and, later on that same week, she won the Miss Beach Cities Model Search contest. Martika made her professional modeling debut at a campaign for Rio Beachwear.
Soon after, she was hired to participate in a Bacardi television and magazine ads campaign. Martika continued expanding her career when she appeared on the cover of Sports Truck Magazine's July 2003 edition and the Cover of numoerous Canadian Magazines.
Martika gained further attention when she posed for Playboy. Her appearance in that magazine made her a household name among readers of that publication, but she apparently did not enjoy the type of publicity generated by her work for Playboy, and decided to keep pursuing her modeling career in non-adult enterprises, as well as her career as a Wardrobe Stylist and Make Up Artist.
In 2005, Martika was one of a group of models to pose for the "Latin Summer Girls Calendar" She also became a spokesmodel for Lulu Cosmetics and was showcased on Playboy's Cyber Girl Special Edition. She turned down a few Playboy offers there after for additional "special editions" choosing to only pose for Playboy lingerie and clothing line exclusively for the Playboy Online Store and Mail order catalogs.
Despite her stating that the best decision she made was to "leave (her) past and start fresh", Martika continues under contract with Playboy enterprises, and was featured in the magazine's 2005-2006 lingerie catalog. Martika also appeared on a Cypress Hill music video in 2005 marking her debut as a model in music videos.
Martika was also signed by other high end lingerie and costumes online designers such as In Character and Trashy Lingerie. She debuted with that company in their own 2005-2006 lingerie catalog... Martika graduated the Academy of Make Up and Fashion school in 2007. She is currently still modeling for selective clientele for Swimsuit, Lingerie and Costumes but is more involved in her new career as a MakeUp Artist and Wardrobe Stylist for Fashion One, Inc. A high end Fashion Photography business and soon to be Model Management. Martika is not only the Make Up Artist for Fashion One, Inc. but also the creative designer and fashion stylist for every shoot, Working with the talented and well known photographer Phil Appleton. Martika is now more focus on her new career with Fashion One, Inc. and will always love being behind the camera but is now moving forward with creating beautiful faces, scenes and photography...
