Zoe Ball

Zoe Ball was born in Lancanshire, England, on November 23, 1970. Her father, Johnny Ball, is a famous children’s television show presenter. She studied at the Holy Convent School in Chalfont St. Peter and City Poly. Zoe Ball is a famous radio and television personality in Britain. Her first appearance was for Saturday Superstore, when she was a child, and her father was also guest on the show.

When she was older, Zoe Ball started work on Granada Television. She was also a researcher for BSkyB quiz shows. She became a regular host for The Ozone, which was the music program for CBBC. The show was even voted Best Music Show by Smash Hits. Zoe Ball was also a host for Short Change, which was a consumer series for children on BBC. Other shows that she was present for include Broom Cupboard, Live and Kicking, and Playdays, as well as An Afternoon on the Moon, a show which commemorated the 25th anniversary of the man walking on the moon.

In October 1997, Zoe Ball was co-hosting the BBC Radio 1 show, along with Kevin Greening, and was the first female dj to ever do so. For a while she was notorious for living a hard partying lifestyle, but in 2000 she finally slowed down and raised a family. In 2002, Zoe Ball returned to radio to work for the London Rock Station XFM.

Zoe Ball’s more recent work includes co-hosting Strictly Dance Fever in 2005, a reality show on BBC. She was also a contestant for Strictly Come Dancing, its sister show. In March of 2007, she hosted Grease is the Word, a talent show. Zoe Ball also presented radio documentaries on BBC Radio 2.

Zoe Ball is married to Norman Cook, more famously known as musician and dj, Fatboy Slim. They married in 1999, and have a child named Woody. She met during her career at BBC Radio 1. She and her family live in Hove. In 2000, Zoe Ball left the radio world to start and raise her family. Her favorite bands include Portishead, Massive Attack, Greenday, Pulp, and Oasis. She is also a fan of Barbra Streisand, Nina Simone, and Dionne Warwick.

Zoe Ball is an avid supporter of Manchester United. She was even gifted with a Manchester United Supporters Club membership card, and she is also the 100,000th member of the club.
